Heather Noss became an expert on scam tactics after her dad was scammed out of nearly $200,000 in a tech support scam. By acting quickly and finding the right help, she helped him recover all of his money. But, she also learned that most other victims never recover a cent.
After this experience, Heather immersed herself in learning as much as possible about how scammers use psychology to trick their victims. With extensive expertise in change management and communications, it was immediately clear to her that traditional anti-scam messaging was not going to make a dent in the growing scam epidemic.
She realized that awareness alone wasn’t enough—people needed hands-on practice to be able to respond under pressure. So she created this interactive and engaging program to teach lasting, reflex-level defensive skills.
Absolutely. Every lesson uses plain language and easy to follow videos. Although there will be some simple cybersecurity tips, the main focus of this course is on recognizing and deflecting psychological tactics.
Warnings fade; skills last. We use interactive practice, psychology insights, and ongoing updates so the protection sticks and evolves with new threats.
